USA Fun and Whimsical

This is a set that I had in my fun and whimsical collection. I had several sets that were really just for fun. This set is depicted by cats. (L09.B.)

This set was made by a company called Blossom Bucket.

I bought a set like this for a friend who collected mice. I thought it was so cute that I needed to have a set of my own. The brand is Charming Tails designed by Dean Griff from New York.

This cute set is made to look like gingerbread men. They are decorated with candy and frosting. I displayed this set in the kitchen of one of the first Nativity displays that I was in charge of at the Tempe South Stake Center. We decorated and displayed Nativities in as many rooms as possible. The kitchen was assigned to Kristi Overson. She did a darling job. All of the sets in the kitchen had something to do with food. It was amazing how many sets we found that had a food theme, including cookie cutters, cookies, gingerbread and more.

This is one of the shelves in a curio cabinet that I used to have in my hallway when we lived on 71st street in Tempe. I had some sets that were just for me. They were fun and whimsical or maybe a gift from a friend. The little white creche in the back is Precious Moments music box. At least one of the icons was a gift from Evelyn Georgiou.

This set is really one of my favorites. I love the little guy on the right holding a sign that reads, "Fear Not." Mary has a little heart on her chest, Joseph has a candy cane stripe staff, and the Baby has a terrific smile on His face.
