This angel holding a star is made for the American market, possibly sold by Hobby Lobby. It is made of resin but made to look carved from wood. It features a scripture on the apron of the angel, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son" and a nativity scene. I use it as a filler for a small place that just needs a little something. I worried about the angel having wings because I believe that angels are people and people don't have wings. I asked someone that I respect if they thought it was okay to have angels with wings in the Nativity and to my surprise they said, "We don't know that all angels don't have wings." I loved that sentiment, so I keep my angels with wings, just in case. If in the end angels don't have wings, I'll be okay with that too. Donated to Mesa Temple Visitors' Center Collection.
